It would take an already stiff ride and make it like there was no suspension or else damage fenders and tires. Lowered it does not look good to me. I was never a fan of lowering. Now in my later years, I appreciate comfort even more and realize that every jolt to the body takes its toll. Just like loud sound does to the hearing.

I think personally the '31 sedan/coach would look better about 1"-2" lower, which would still leave decent fender clearance, but it is very difficult to achieve with original suspension. A custom spacer under rear spring saddles and longer U Bolts would accomplish it on the rear (may need to adjust tail pipe). But the front solution is more challenging. No room to shorten shackles, perhaps a custom made flatter spring? while keeping clearance for tie-rod and axle? I looked at doing this, but decided to leave my '31 Coach as is, may try something on next project.

Very nice looking car, but lowering is not my cup of tea, thank you.

I'm pretty sure that '31 belongs to a guy here in Chat....
maybe "Edward." I recall pix of the car in "member's
photos" along the left hand side some time ago. He's
obviously real active in "Chevy Bombs," but also one
of us here in Chat.

Not a radical lowering job....so OK with me. The whole
overall car is really nice!!!

Bill.
