A friends son has a 1931 two-door coupe, the engine is froze.
I have a 1930 engine on the stand. Will that engine bolt right into the 31? What would need to be revised? (also have the 30
bellhousing)

Thanks,
John

You would also have to use the 1930 transmission.

If you have old Chevrolets, other old Chevrolets will find out where you live.

To further clarify Dave's response, you would have to use all the same clutch fork and bell housing components either 1930 or 1931.

Thanks,guys for the information.
I only have the engine and bellhousing.
He may have to re-build the 1931 engine.
