I finally got my chev back from the body shop,Im very happy with the way its turned out. Im not sure whether to re upholster in cream, or leave as is. what do you think. She looks amazing very good work done!!!  I personally should drive her this summer as she is now that should give me the time to think better on what I should like and then make the changes in the winder. I should not bare the idea waiting for weeks now that is the best time to drive. Wish you enjoy your roadster for long times to come.  Jianis

Super Nice !! What is the pull switch to the right of the steering wheel? I can't see the floor very well, does it have carpet? Nice chrome door striker plate..grin I'd leave it just the way it is right now. Cool Car.

The reason the last pic didn't imbed is because the UBB code wasn't quite right. You left out a ] after the image code. Should show below now. I could become extremely excited about that vehicle if the steering wheel wasn't placed in the wrong position.

Looks good! I have just finished my 38 roadster and am going through the shaking down process. I see that you have the windup windows. Are they from a Roadster Ute? I have a couple of sets of those but they were too bad to use so I have curtains.I see a couple of Master Deluxe touches in there. Is it a Standard or Master Deluxe, like in the front suspension?
Love the colour; I have a Powder Blue Triumph TR3A. Anyway happy travelling.

Its a Standard Commercial Roadster, I have all known history of the car including origial 1937 rego papers. plus a picture of it in 1970.
Its been past down though the owners that this is one of 5 built with the wind up windows with solid suround, and (Master)
master Deluxe in USA upgrades, Chassis No M37-2673, but still has standard suspension.
colour is bancroft blue, the original colour, colour code BNCT, not a standard colour for holden built chev roadsres in 1937, another inducation that this was a factory upgraded car.

A very nice looking car.
Where did you find the breakdown of the color coding? So far I have not been able to find any charts that go earlier than 1950 to match the paint on my 38.

I got the color code info from Norm Darwin, out of his book, The history of holden since 1917, theres a picture of my car on page 55.
I also have his book 100 years of GM in Australia. there both really great books, but very hard to find.
If you let me know the colour code, I will see if I can find it in the book for you.
or tell me the details of your car, and I'll list the colours and codes that match in the book.
I found paint code for 38 coupe utilities in the book.

Ray I think you'll find the steering wheels on the right side, we just drive upside down, down under.

Does anyone know if the bakerlite inner door handles on this 37 Roadster would be the original handles, or would they have been metal originaly?, remember it"s Holden built.

Cute as a robins egg! I really like the hood side vents. I had an English import right hand drive Morris Minor convertible a few years back and had fun with my young daughter sitting on the left hand side going down the road. Folks would give us some double takes.
