Working on a buddies 28 that just sudenly quit working. Engine turns over nicely. Checked all the valves and all good. Gas to the plugs. Replace the old rotor as it was broken. Have rest the distributor so that rotor is coming up on number one at TDC. Hve spark to the points. Good coil. Still won't start. I am guessing the condenser? Looks like the orginal...Any help would be appreciated...

Have you tried to check a spark plug wire and see if you are getting spark up to the plugs? Fuel, Spark, Movement = start.

Did you check the distributor cap for breakage also? If the rotor broke, chances are that damage was also done to the cap. Spark to the points is good, but is it also getting to the plugs?
