This is back to the original paint color, Bancroft Blue, all rechromed,
Just need to have upholstery done, and soft top put back on.

Great looking car for sure. Congratulations.

Why is the hood sides not like a standard 37 chevy? Is this a Holden body? If so, what are the other changes?

I noticed no crease in the door as a continuation of the front fender crease.

Thanks, It is Holden built, different in side hood vents, and no side crease, also I think its shorter in the cab, as USA soft tops are to long to fit.
grill was slightly different shape too.
This one is a commercial Roadster with a large top hinged trunk.
Most Holden Roadsters only had side curtains, this one has full doors with glass windows.
Right hand drive.
Dont know what else may be different, Im sure there would be more changes.

Beautiful car! One question, in the states a "roadster" has no top, soft or hard. Yours appears to be a convertible (cabriolet?). Is the terminology down under different in that respect?

I don't have a roadster, but if I did, it would have originally came from the factory with a top.

Actually the Roadster had a soft top and side curtains. The Cabriolet had a soft top and roll up windows.

only Chevrolet roadsters made by Holden in 1937, no cabriolets.
Ive been told that mine was factory fitted with full doors, and only five where made like this.
I have not seen any others the same.

Looking Good.
My 38 (Holden Bodied) 1/2 ton has a 37 front (grille at least) but it only 2 flutes along the hood but the sedan may well have different panel work to the commercial.

Hi Tony, ya 38 had two straight flutes, here is a pic of an old 39 mapleleaf in my yard, a bit past restoring I think.

Yes that Mapleleaf is getting past restoration but still holds a lot of good parts as a donor.
Then mine has the 37 vertical bar grille and hood top with the 38 hood sides.
I have long suspected it was serverely bent prior to my acquisition and repaired with 37 parts though I found 1 36 and 1 37 front spring.
Eventually I will get to post a photo of it.
