We had a 1950 Chevy, VIN #20HK152396, that we traded in to Selman Chevrolet in Orange CA on September 24, 1958 for a one year old '57 Nomad. Does anyone have access to VIN number records to find out if our old Chevy is still around?
The online sources I've found require more characters than the 10 positions in the VIN on our '50 had and so I haven't been able to run the VIN myself. I have a couple of police friends, but they aren't allowed to run VINs without a legitimate reason either. Does anyone out there in "Cyberland" have access to DMV/VIN number searches?
