Here's a picture of the head I'm using on the engine in my '53 210. As you can see, it's a 3836848 head, with a casting date of A 22 5.

Gene Schneider told me that the first year of the 848 head's use would have been in 1956.

So my question is was this head cast in January of 1955... OR was it cast in Jan of 1965 as a replacement head? I'm mostly curious--it's not a big deal, but I like to sort things out.
