Hi all,

I hope you are all having an enjoyable Memorial Day holiday weekend. The Foothill Region’s 14th annual All Chevy show held at historic Felix Chevrolet in Los Angeles was an incredible car show! There were over 200 Chevrolets there. The 30s and 40s cars lined the whole front of the dealership’s lot and were a sight to see.

I thought Alonso Guerrero, the Director of the Foothill Region and George Aust also of the Foothill Region did an outstanding job as Co-Chairs for the show.

Sabrina took over 300 pictures and we will post links to them and others taken at the show on the Area 1 website shortly. In the meantime, here are some pictures taken by the Felix Chevrolet official photographer:

Ken Kaufman won First Place for his class with his 1918 D5 V8 and Tom Meleo’s 1933 Coupe that was originally purchased new at the dealership was also a sight to see. Dick Dennis of the Southern California Region won Best of Show with his 1958 Impala.

This show sold out in two weeks and I was told that folks were offering up to $100 to re-purchase tickets from other pre-registrants as they wanted to be a part of this day so bad. Although I knew Felix was loved by many folks here in the Southern California area, today it was apparent the dealership has strong ties within the vintage Chevrolet car culture in this area.

It was a very fun day!

Well, Yes, yes, yes!!!! I agree with Jim Karris 100%.

The event, people, cars and VCCA folks were all great.

My hat is off to the Foothill Region and ALL of the VCCA members who participated, supported and pitched-in to help make this show such a huge success.

And a special "at-a-boy" to Alonso Guerrero and George Aust the outstanding work. And a tip of the hat to Ken Kaufman for his 1 st. Place Award!!

Enjoy the ride,
