Besides the Filling station who else sells engine paint. They are back ordered 3 weeks or more right now and I would like to get this motor back together.

If you decide to contact Chev's of the 40's, ask them specifically if they have the special paint and not the Bill Hersh stuff.

We had them trained last year, but things change.

thanks I have most of it painted with the correct color but have the oil pan and valve cover to do. Didn't buy enough the first time. I found a krylon logo on the back of it but it is definitely a special mix for them.

Call the Filling Station again, because I was told that they have the engine paint in stock.

Paint no matter who makes it, if in different batches is subject to slight variations. Thats why its a good practice to get enough the first time around. Experience really is a good teacher!!

Steve from The Filling Station here. We have 32 aerosol cans, 2 quarts and 2 pints on the shelf. How many do you need? :)

since I have your attention the other thing back ordered was the radiator hose it was a 30" section I believe there is also in your catalog a longer section, question is for my 32 which one do I need? and why don't they offer them as a package cut to length with the correct clamps?

Thanks stev

I recently ordered the rad hose and clamps as well. the 2 sizes (if I'm correct) are 18" and 36". I ordered the 36", just so if I made a mistake I wouldn't have to reorder another piece. The clamps come in 2 styles. The original screw and squeeze clamps. I went with the screw just to try and keep it as it is.
My order took 6 days... no back order issue at all.

The filling station is a great place to pick up stuff for my 32. My only wish is if they had a place closer to the eastern seaboard so shipping wasn't as expensive but since they don't I deal with it.
My 2 cents worth (Cdn)

I get radiator hose from my local auto parts store. Some times they don't have it in stock and have to order but most of the time it is available.

The hose was sent with your first order. We offer two sizes of radiator hose 17" and 36". A 17" length will handle one car. There are six hose clamps required. I will call you to get the paint question cleared up.

Now we all know once again why we go to the Filling Station when we need stuff -- super service.
