Maybe this should be under electrical, but here goes. When I rebuilt my Corvair I did not have anything other than paint for the spark plug wire separators, but on my last trip to the US I bought a can of Plasti Dip. Yesterday I pulled the supports, stripped them and dipped them.
Now all is well
