Does anyone have the fuel pump pressure specs on the 1958 283 fuel pump? They should be in the '58 shop manual under the fuel system section.

Also, does anyone know why the AC 4661 fuel pump is a one year only (1958) part?

The reason I ask:

I need to swap fuel pumps on my '57 283. Among the pile of goodies I got from a friend is one AC 4661 fuel pump. I identified this as a '58 pump with my Chevy parts catalog.

What I can't figure out is why the 4661 is listed only for 1958. The housing and fittings look the same. Is the pump pressure different? Other reasons?

Also, suggestions on good vendors to buy a pump rebuild kit from would be appreciated.
