Does anyone know of a source for the clips that hold both halves of spare tire cover together. The '37 uses three clips spaced equally apart around the rim the the tire cover. I have checked various on-line sources and cannot find anything like them. Fastenal is the closest and the smallest clips they sell look to be about twice as big as what I need.

The clips are not reproduced as far as I know. Your option is to buy a used one and use the clips from it. Occasionally they are listed for sale in the G&D or on eBay.

I don't think I've ever seen any. Are they a small draw latch? Or possibly a briefcase latch? Similar? Nothing like them? Like I said, I've never seen them so I'm shooting in the dark.

In later years 36-38? the top link was shortened and riveted to the inner band. I think 1932 are the same as my '33 and not sure if my '31 cover uses the same latch, or not.

you know? the snap clip that holds large fire-extinguisher in it's rack will work. I'm trying to adapt it to mirrors on my sidemounts. Remember I's a chevy........bailing wire and chewing gum works many times.

Thanks for the suggestions guy's. The idea of a fire extinguisher bracket had not occurred to me, but might work well.
