I took my 31 bumpers in to get chromed what was on the back side of all of the bars? paint? or rough chrome that was not polished? Thanks

On my 31 coupe with the double bar bumper it is the rough chrome unpolished. Good luck with your project.

I have a NOS single face bar front bumper which looks like dull aluminum on the back & the edges. I don't know if it's paint or not...Joe

I found NOS rear spit bumpers for my 32 and on the inside they had silver paint over a rough finish. The black bars had a Chevy bowtie stamped in them.
