I have a rear tire on the 21 490 that is starting to be a pain and going flat every other day, time to quit airing it up and just fix it. I have changed the demountable type split rim and more modern types by hand but Never did a clincher type before. Sure don't want to wreck a rim or the tire. Found no info in the owners manual at all. Any tips?

Lots of talc or real soapy water. You will need two tire tools. Above all, don't pinch the tube as you will get to do it all over again.

Bob,

Yes, you will need 2 tire spools or large pry bars and take it apart like a bicycle tire. To put it together baby powder works very well and you will need a rubber mallet to smack the tire/tube as you work it onto the rim. It's not too bad a job on the workbench. A helper can be useful too. Just take your time.
