I have a new wiring harness in my '34 Coupe and am starting to rewire the head and tail lights. I have all new internal wiring for the tail lights but am wondering what my alternatives are with the internal wires on the headlights. Pictured below (hopefully) are the old wires and sockets.

Is there a source for a new set like the old ones, labeled 1 and 2, in the picture? Or will I need to rewire this set? If so, what gauge wire and where could I find the "bulb contacts" that are soldered to the ends of the wires?

Also, was the wiring on the socket, labeled 2, soldered to the wiring harness?
If so, was tape used to insulate the splice? It appears the splice would be within the conduit that runs from the headlight bucket to the radiator surround.

Thanks for any quick replies as I am hoping to get this done this week. By the way the other two pictures are the same car 70 years apart.

Check with Don Rossi in Aurora Colorado or on eBay. Don is mrrchev and reproduces those wires. Think he is also mrrchev on ChatII.
