Looking for a picture of a '59 Impala 2dr with cameo coral paint and not 2 tone. My Dad had a new '59 that was cameo coral, 348 tri-power (280hp?) and 4 speed. I have seen pictures over the years but nothing in color that had good color. I'd appreciate it if anyone can help. Thanks Don

Hey Don,

Check this out....cameo coral '59

Scroll down a bit; not too far.

You also might check auto color library 59 colors

Interesting how "computer" colors don't always seem very accurate....

Good luck....

Interesting to look at the post you mentioned. If I read it correct a car with cameo coral paint came with a gray interior. From what I've seen of the inside of my Dads car it had a brown interior, with the tri color inserts. I guess I need to do more digging. Thanks Don

In 1959 Cameo Coral came with a gray interior only - Biscayne, Bel Air or Impala.
The brown interior would have looked terrible with Coral.

I talked to Dad tonight and he said his car was bronze. Any ideas what the correct code is? Thanks.

Looking at that Auto Color Library color chart, I'd guess - mind you it's just my "guess" - your dad's reference to "bronze" would be the 920 color.....Gothic Gold.

The gold, which was a rich shade of a light brown was much more popular and would have had a matching interior.

Gene,

That's the way I remember my wife's '59 2 dr hard top, gold with matching interior. However, I was paying more attention to her than the car and I have to admit they were both some beauties. Oh, Oh, better add the wife still is. laugh

The gold appears to be the correct color. Anyone have a picture of a 2dr HT painted this color. Thanks Don
