I;m putting a 42 216 complete 6 volt system in my 35 high cab all the 35 gages lights etc. do I use voltage reg. or a cut out and whats the diffrence in the two THANK YOU

If you are using a 1942 generator then you should use the matching voltage regulator.

A voltage regulator regulates the voltage whereas a cut-out is just an off-on switch to allow the current from the generator to flow to the battery.
