What is the best type brake lining to use on a 28. I know some of the modern replacements are too hard.

28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

There have been many, many discussions regarding the brake linings in the past couple of years. Do a search on Chevy Chatter II and you should come up with a lot of good information.

The dog is right, there is tons of info to be found. in short, get the green woven linings. A good relining shop will know what you are talking about.
