I saw this on the web. It has a foreign URL address. Is this something GM made for another country or just a cut up mess. I'm not sure how you could even make something like this. If its real, it's worth a LOT.

It's a Holden bodied Chevrolet Ute... the real deal. Right hand drive which makes them a little less desirable on this side of the pond.

That's amazing. I've never seen one before. Were any ever made for the good ole USA ? That would be really rare.

They were Austrailia only... from '36-52 as Chevrolets, then Holden made their own. Ford did them too...

Yep, as brewster says, that is the real deal. I have seen a fair number of them in the past and there is also one locally.

according to the reference book I have there, was 1580 std coupe utes made in 38,
and only 20 std roadster utes made in 1938.

I knew of a 37 or 38 (not sure which now) here in Goulburn but since the then owner passed on I dont know where the ute is now.

It was based on the 1/2 ton chassis and cab but the front of the box was also the back of the cab.
