I have a # 1102170 Delco Remy 12 Volt Generator. I cannot find the part number in any of my Chevrolet Parts Books. In my 1964 Chevrolet Parts Catalog it lists a generator for the 1962 Chevy as #1102168. Any ideas as to what #1102170 it is correct for?

Thanks for the information on the generator. It now makes alot of sense to me. The previous owner of the generator used to drive a number of Cadillacs over the years. I bought a 1959 Coupe DeVille from him. It was a great car with a seek and scan radio, automatic headlight dimmer, alot of other accessories and it got 5 mpg.

if you have a volt reg with part # 1119002E which was used on late 50 early 60 Caddys with air conditioning, don't toss it away. the 1961 corvettes with fuel injection and all 62 corvettes used the 002E regulator. they'll bring about 400 bucks, and sometimes much more, to a vette guy.mike
