I'm looking for the coolant reservoir cap for this vehicle.Inside diameter is 2" and it snaps onto the jar. It's held to the jar by a circular retainer that ataches to the neck. The part number is 486546. I got lucky on this sight once before when I needed a right outer mirror to match the left side remote.

For a better response you also might want to post the above in the "Parts Wanted" section of Chevy Chatter II.

I have a black one somewhere. The question is where I saw it recently.

If you can find that cap, I'll definitely take it, price being reasonable. I'll let you decide what's reasonable. Can't find one anywhere. Found a new old stock tank at a Georgia dealership and made a bracket using assemlby manual illustration. Not exact but close. If you have a
brkt, I'm also interested. Please reply.

I gave her a hug yesterday! Maybe a bit more? Kiss too! If the GGs cooperate she will find it today.

Has the pointer lost her nose or exhausted all corners. If there is no cap available, I'll start looking elsewhere. But thanks for the effort.

I didn't consult my book but what other years did the cap fit?????...I would bet it covered many years and models....and perhaps Corvettes?

Think she is distracted. Our daughter arrived and they are doing lady things. I get to help tomorrow. Looks like at least Sunday PM to get her back hunting. Might be good to look elsewhere. If she is successful I will let you know. Maybe you will still need it but kinda hope you don't.
