On a 30 roadster, what prevents the door hitting the sidemount tires when the door is opened? I was told there was a stop mechanizm, possibly on the hinge that would prevent this , but the person telling me this did not have one or have a picture of one. Anyone ever heard of such an aparatus?

"These parts are for installation on jobs where the front door strikes the tire on side tire carrier jobs. The are installed on the upper hinges only as shown in Figure 16.
