Several of us have restored a few of them, but I'm unaware of any documentation on them. Maybe if you post your specific questions we can help out. They're not too hard to work on.

There is an adjustment screw on the back of the horn cover. Turn it one notch at a time in either direction until the horn starts to make a sound. Then, turn the adjustment screw until the volume is the loudest. If you turn the adjustment screw too far then the volume will start to diminish.

In regards to the Klaxon 8C horn. I just took mine out becuase it did not work. I found that the inner metal "diaphram" is rusted through. I now need to find a new one.

That aside, When I was troubling shooting the horn prior to taking it out. I was using on my test light to both terminals to see if I had power. I was suprised to see I had power at both terminals. Is this normal or is something fouled with my electrical system?

Yes with a test light you would get it to light on both terminals although one side would be slightly dimer you may not notice the difference then horn button provides the ground when pushed

Thanks, I guess now I need to check the horn button for the ground. I pulled it out and cleaned the two contacts, but it does not see to ground out. I guess I may need to pull the steering wheel

There is a brass ring on top of the mast jacket bushing inside of the steering column. When the horn button is depressed the two contacts on the horn button activates the ground when they touch the brass ring on the mast jacket bushing.
