working on a 30 chev roadster. need info on how the top material is fastened at the front. Is there a flat metal strip that serves as a visor , or ow is the visor formed?

There is no visor. The front top header extends beyond the top of the windshield by a couple of inches. The top material nails to the header.

I dont quite understand this. I was led to believe that the 31 roadster had a wood header in front, but the 30 did not.I was missing the entire top framework when I started.I was fortunate eneogh to latch on to an original 30 top framework complete with bows. I have since made new bows for it ,but there is no indication of there ever having been a wood header as part of this framework,or how it would attach to the front bow.

I apreciate the offer. seeing some pictures of the details would sure be of help. I was looking at some of the posted pictures from Jans with a magnifying glass and somehow all they seem to do is substantiate that the top bows are same as mine but the detail of how the top fabric closes in between the windshield frame and the front top bow is not shown. Also would really apreciate detail on rumble seat hinge area thanks again John
