I am putting a 67 dual master cyl on my 63 sport sedan and I think the front of the dual cyl is for the back brakes.Am I right in this? The wife wants to drive it and to be safe I am changing it over.I had a couple single cyl go bad back in the 50s so I know they are not safe. Thanks for the help.

The tandem master cylinder can fail but not as bad as the singles.
As for front and rear ports, you will need to determine which port has the weaker spring (which port displaces fluid first)and connect it to the rear brakes.
