Trying to find out exactly what year Powerglide I have. I did a little researching, but couldn't find what I am looking for. I need to know which numbers to use and/or where the date code would be.

I believe it is a '63 trans, but not sure.

It is Aluminum.

Any info would be appreciated.

The numbers could be found in the following locations -from my info.
1962 - stamped on machined surface on lower right of case.
1963-65 - stamped on bottom of oil pan.
65-69 - stamped on right side of oil pan.
Typical number would be - C 11 16 N
The C indicates made in Cleveland
11 16 - made Nov 16th - N is the shift.
Year code not used.

Sounds confusing but thats the way the parts book reads.
