I like a wide variety of Chevy and GMC trucks, but if there was a whole line of trucks for me to pick from, I'd be jumping in this one:

For those wondering, it is a GMC 9500 Extended Hood (Long Nose). It is an early to mid 70's model. I'm not sure what this one has but many trucks of this type had an 8V-71 Detroit Diesel, with a 13-Speed Road Ranger Trans.

That is a "pusher" truck. One is stationed at each end of the Golden Gate Bridge. They are serious about keeping the traffic flowing. If you brake down on the bridge they push you off and into a holding area at the end of the bridge.

You are right about the bridge. Kari and I passed it last summer on the way to Oregon to visit Steve Kassis. It looked very impressive and I had to take the picture to show Petrine, our 1/2 ton Pick up from 31. She turned almost in love, but promised to stay at home an be a good girl after all.

I will tell her about the pusher.
