Anybody know where I can find a true reproduction or NOS emblem for my 1949 Chevy fresh air heater? The original plate has a 1/8" raised lip around the perimeter and four mounting tabs. As far as I can tell, none of the popular parts outlets sell the correct ID plate - the ones I've seen are just a simple stamped disk without the lip and mounting tabs.

Just refinished my emblem. Like you said, none of the repops are made like the original. I finally tracked down a fairly nice original,(had to buy the whole heater to get it), stripped it, did some straightening and polishing, then repainted it. The originals are thin aluminum and real easy to straighten any small dings, etc, then file, sand and polish. Just time consuming.
