Has anybody used and noticed a difference in the filling station AF-79 clutch bearing springs. The ones I receive set on top instead of beside the little mounting holes. Seem to be smaller. I install one on the new bearing plate and slid it over the arm . The other two i spread apart and it was a pain to keep the winding on top. Finally got all 3 installed. Going to reinstall clutch fork and operate to make sure they stay on. Any feedback or opinions are appreciated.

I'm also having a problem getting the new clutch bearing plate springs installed on my 1932. Do you have a picture of the correctly installed springs? I'm trying to install the springs without removal of the pressure plate/clutch assembly.
Thanks,

Call Steve Kassis at the Filling Station and let him know about the issue.

I had a friend who is a mechanic look at my problem. Here is the way he installed them. I’ve pushed the clutch in and out and everything seems ok. The arms are tight. Will see how it goes when I start it up in a couple days. The picture of the dirty springs is the way they were before I removed the bearing plate . And the other is how the new one are put in. Hope my way is ok.

Ok took awhile but got everything back together and went for a 50 mile test drive. The way my friend installed the springs seems to work. Would have made it easier if I had know they were not installed the same way as original’s but seemed to have worked out. Have a very smooth clutch with a lot of adjustment room for the future.
