Was that ever a option in a 68 Chevelle or El Camino,a local junkyard has a early 70s Nova with a factory 3 speed on the floor but how about the other models. Just building a model of a base 68 El Camino and since it came from AMT with a automatic on the floor I do not have a steering column that has a shifter.

The first Chevelle to have a 3 spped and floor shift was the down sized 1978. It was standard equipment, not an option.
It was an option on a 1974 Nova (3 speed floor shift)....my son had one.

Could one come with a 4 speed and a bench seat.

My cousin bought a 67 Chevelle hardtop brand new with a bench seat and a four speed. Beautiful car.

I once drove a '69 Camaro with a 6-Cylinder, 3-Speed on the Floor.

The car was un-tampered with and appeared to be all factory original.

I actually put a Clutch in it for a friend back around 1977.

I have a friend with a 1967 Camaro with a 3 speed on the floor. It's the only thing that stands out as it was pretty basic. He bought it new and it was all original. Canadian and a small block.

One of my high-school classmates had a '67 Camaro with the inline 6 (not sure which size) and a 3 speed manual transmission that was a floor mount shift. I do not remember ever seeing a column column shift Camaro.

In the mid-70's a different high school classmate had a 1974 Nova with a 3 speed floor mounted shifter. It had the 250 inline 6.

Out of co-incidence, the Camaro mentioned above that I put a Clutch in was owned by a girl whose Dad bought a brand new '74 Nova. A very basic no option car with a 6-Cylinder, 3-Speed on the Column. I drove this car too and was surprised by the new smaller Clutch Pedal, as well as having to push the Clutch in for it to start.

This car had crazy Clutch problems. The car had very low miles and still went through about 8 Clutches. I put 2 or 3 of them in myself after the factory gave up on it. Also had a new Flywheel a time or two, different type of Clutches and numerous Adjustments. They started blaming him for the cause. But the man drove manuals all his life and had just traded in a '67 3-Speed. His also drove a truck at work and drove his daughter's car now and then. Never had any kind of problem till this '74. The mystery was never solved and he just kept putting Clutches in it as needed.

Went to a swap meet in Grants Pass OR this afternoon on my way to the Pacific Early Six tour. There was a 67 Camero with the 6 and a 3 speed. Car was in very nice original condition with a repaint of the Gold paint on the body. I took a picture of it if anyone would like to post it.
