Can anyone tell me if the 69 Camaro's came stcok with Radial tires or not? Also if anyone has a picture of the fron and rear shocks as to what the correct one's from the factory looked like as far as color and etc. I bought a set of Delco's and they are different in color for fronnt and back. Also what is the correct color of the gas tank and straps? Also looking for a NOS set of floor mats as I have the Moss Green Interior. Willing to pay fair price for a nicre set.
Thank You

Radial tire were not original to the 69 Camaro. Only bias ply tires. Original shocks were a spiral design painted a gray/blue color front & rear. Closer to gray. Gas tank was natural. Straps were black I believe.....Joe

In 1969 Chevrolet sold the sprial shocks for replacement. A few years later they sold the "plain" Delco replacement shocks and if I remember correctly they were green and called Pleasureizers. After that they had several lines of replaccement shocks painted various colors.
They straps were black.

I was going to put what I thought was the correct NOS Delco shocks {rear} on recently and found that I must have bought the incorrect type at Carlile PA swap meet last year. The one's I bought have the stud in them already. And after doing a bit of research it seems that Camaro's had two tyeps of leaf springs. I have the springs with three leafs on them. I guess there is also a sigle leaf type. Does anyone know if my springs take the shock that you have to add the stud separately?? Thank You

The only shocks I've seen for the rear of a 67/69 Camaro have a vertical stud on the top & a horizontal stud on the bottom for multi leave springs. Single leave cars would have an eye on the bottom. 4 leaves per side would be a 68/69 Z/28. SS cars usually have 5 & low performance cars have a single leave....Joe

I just happened to have a 1968 Delco Pleasurizer catalog beside me so I looked up the numbers. May be useful, may be not.

1967 frt. P1080
1967 rear P1118

1968 frt. all with mono-leaf rear spring P1060
1968 frt. all with multi-leaf rear spring P1060

1968 rear with mono-leaf spring P1126
1968 rear with multi-leaf spring P1132

The jack post is silver. The lifting mechanisum and base was black. Lug wrench could be natural or black. If it were mine I would paint it low gloss black.

The foot is gray unless it has the rubber VE3 option front bumper. That one is special & painted blue...Joe

By "foot" do you mean the bumper hook?

Yes. That is correct.
Another tid bit was discussed on the Camaro Research Group about jacks from Norwood built cars & Los Angeles cars. It appears as though LA cars had a square mast & Norwood cars had a trapezoidal mast. The bases were different for both types. Location of date codes are different also...Joe

After some research, it would appear that 1968 & 1969 Camaro jack mech & base were painted gray no matter what plant it was built at. The same gray as the load rest unless you had the special front bumper in 1969...Joe
