Just finishing up the brake job today. Four new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new rubber hoses and flushed out the lines and installing dot5 fluid. The brakes were rebuilt about 12 years ago but the previous owner never flushed the fluid. The system corroded and developed leaks and the left rear started locking up. Flushing is definitely required every 2-3 years with dot 3 fluid but should be flushed regardless of the fluid used. Also received a new gas tank yesterday. The previous owner didn’t mount the tank on any rubber supports and developed leaks due to metal on metal abrasion. Also installing new 6v AGM Optima battery tomorrow. A new upper steering bearing is on its way to eliminate about 1 1/2 inches of steering play but need to do more research on removing the steering wheel and accessing the bearing. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Would help if the year of the car was posted.
