Hi everyone. We got ate car in February of 2022. Have done a lot so we can feel comfortable to drive. We have put a little over 3,000 miles. A lot of things I still want to do . Welcome to the 1932 ownership and the VCCA. It is people like you that make the hobby great.

Reminds me of my second Chevrolet, 1932 Coach. Making it driveable and weather resistant while retaining the patina is the pinnacle of ownership in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with shiny and pretty. I just like the I’ve been around and nothing wrong with being old. Every dent , scrape is part of history that I wish the car could share the story. The conversations, smiles of people I would have never met has been a blessing. When we go for a drive everything slows down. No speeding down the road in a hurry , no radio blasting away. When we go for a ride it is so relaxing and feels like we go back in time when things weren’t as fast paste and hectic as they are now.

And also thanks to those on this site for advise. It’s made it a lot easier and faster getting the car to we’re it is so we can enjoy it.

I completely agree with you. Preserving history should not to be taken lightly. On most years we drive our old Chevys 1K - 2K miles on tours around the country. As Dinah sang "See the USA in your Chevrolet" it is a lot of fun at 35 - 40 mph. You can hear the sounds, smell the odors, react to each bump and see stuff others can't. And even better is doing it with others that have the same values and desires. The VCCA is a family not a club!
