Are the end gate struts for a 59 sedan delivery shared with any other vehicle? Looking for 2...Joe
My 1959 parts book shows the 1959 station wagon and sedan delivery has having the same lift gate supports. Part # 4758911 and 912 in group # 12.203.
The next book I have is too new and they are no longer listed. Perhaps some one has a 1960, say up to 1966 book and they can see if the number was good for 1960 as well.
The 1962 parts book lists the two parts as fitting 1959-1960 Sta. Wag., PDL.

Are you sugesting a left & a right or 59 & 60 different?
Thanks, Joe
The left and right are different and each fits both '59 & '60 wagons and deliveries.
The struts are for 59/60 only. They are differnt for L/R. But they do not share with any of the wagons. The liftgates for the SDL's are unique.
Martiny,
You are correct. My post on the part numbers did list PDL which is the Panel Delivery and not the Sedan Delivery. Guess my brain was in neutral when I made the post and did not recognize the title of the thread.
Part of my problem is that the Sedan Delivery did not have an end gate but "Back Doors". Apparently the Panel Delivery had the end gate and not Back Doors. Not sure if Joe was looking for Panel Delivery or Sedan Delivery parts.
Most of the parts that fit on the "Back Door" (Group 10.461) are unique to the '59 models. The "HINGE, right PN 4802784" and "HINGE, left PN 4802785, "STRAP, right, hinge w/link PN 4306968" and "STRAP, left, hinge w/link PN 4306969" "ROD, right, hinge torque PN 4760413" and "ROD, left, hinge torque PN 4760414" are listed for both '59-'60 Sedan Delivery.
