Hello All,
So in addition to rebuilding my carburetor, I am also replacing the entire fuel system, From the fill ports forward.
My question is: should I replace the original bent metal tubing, with a direct replacement, or with fuel hose? Obviously fuel hose would be both cheaper and easier to run, but will it effect performance?
Has anyone here ever done this or seen it done?
As usual any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I would use the hard line when possible. It is safer and more durable. If the hose rubs on anything it can form a leak etc. Also it is exposed to everything under the car. If you can get the old line out in one piece you can bend a anew one to match on the bench and it should not be to muck work to reinstall.
