Question , I there a torque value for the valve cover on a 235 c.i.d. ?
I have a habit of over tightening things.......

A 235 with two center studs or four outter screws?

That would the the 4 outer screws. The engine is a 1956.

Like 10 foot pounds. Also would depend what the cover gasket is made from. originals wee soft cork.

Gene : The soft cork from fel-pro is what I have and ten pounds of torque sounds
good to me, so that's what it will be. Thanks once again. hood
