On page 14 in the current January issue of G&D is a picture of Louis Zastrow's 49 Convertible. On the ends of the grill are stainless pieces which I have never seen. Are these factory accessories just for a 49? Beautiful car and my favorite issue of G&D yet as I think 49-50 Chevys(especially Fleetlines) are best.

They are a seldom seen aftermarket item.Notice also the car has after market fog lights that are built into the grille = not to mention it has 1950 accessory guards.

I noticed a lot of the 49's in that article have the optional 1950 bumper wraps. Perhaps thats why I can't seem to find a set for my '50. We need to start hitting these guys harder on the judging forms so they are more inclined to sell them!! Agrin

I saw a pair for sale on Ebay 2 weeks ago...They were misidentified though...Seller listed them as '48 wrap-arounds...
