Welcome to Chatter
Sounds like an interesting project.
I have dealt with Chevparts in Sydney that stock or can locate a large inventory of new and used parts. I have also heard of All American Auto Parts somewhere in Victoria but dont know anymore about them but there could well be more that I dont know about in Aus.
I have also had good dealings with The Filling Station and Chevs Of The Fortys in the US, both do online ordering with short delivery time (sometimes less than 1 week).
When ordering from the US double check the actual part as a lot of RHD vehicles in Aus are a mix of Canadian and local parts that dont always match the US parts.
I and probably a lot of us here on Chatter would be interested in some photos.

Frankie, I have just completed a six year restoration of 1948 woody wagon. As Tony indicates, mechanical parts are available since the vehicle’s platform is the same as a four door sedan except items that may be unique to rhd. Wood is another story. While there are commercial suppliers in the US producing wood components for the other make, I was not able to find anyone with reproduction wood for the Chevy. As such, if you need wood, you’ll most likely need to fabricate it yourself or hire someone with those skills. If you’d like to talk my contact information is in my profile. Mike
