Hi all,

Just took possession of a 1940 Master Deluxe, in relatively good shape. First question after searching unsuccessfully. Does anyone have an approximate idea of what the body weighs, less the doors, fenders, hood and trunk? My previous experience is 10 years running a tractor and equipment fleet in the 80s (including some Caterpillar loaders and GM Vans,) restored a 1980 Triumph Spitfire, and currently drive a mostly resto-modded 66 Mustang. Looking forward to this one.

Welcome to VCCA Chat. I have no idea of an exact weight but I'd guess 2600 to 2700 according to shipping weight which would include all of the panels and trying to guess individual weights of the panels. http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/4011.htm

Thanks. Easily passes the 6-10 foot test but needs serious work. Bunch of replacement parts already on it, don't know from when. Bunch of parts painted without primer, and others using mixed size bolts. But it's all there.
