Has anyone seen these done on passenger cars? I’ve tried reaching out to past sellers and the refuse to tell me what they used to convert the temp and oil senders to electric and said for me to buy their gauges and find out! -,-

Does anyone on here know and willing to shine some insight on it? I want to do this on my 46.

I apologize for the confusion on my part.

Could you provide more details about the situation? I assume you are making some type of custom or street rod car.

The reputable manufacturers should be able to send you a copy of their installation instructions (probably a pdf file). That should show you what a sensors (and processors) need to be installed and how you get power to the gauge set.

The electrical or electronic (yes there is a difference between them) gauges that I know about are intended for use with 12 volt systems.

So the only time I have seen the mechanic temp gauge and mechanic oil gauges on 42-46 cars that have been converted to electric gauges were by sellers on eBay or Independent sellers from Social media. They don’t provide how they were able to find the parts or who manufactured the electric gauges. I’m asking if anyone on here know how to convert the mechanical gauges to electric for 42-48 passengers because I want to do it myself on my car

This reminds me of the saying “It must be true because I saw it on the internet”.

I would only purchase from eBay or social media sellers if there was a money back guarantee and you paid through PayPal as protection.

I am aware of reputable companies such as Classic Instruments that sell compete gauge/instrument panel replacements. Their market is the hot rod and custom car community. They also offer a retrofit service to upgrade to electronics gauges.

I am still interested in what is motivating the conversion.
