I’ve always enjoyed getting into on ‘49 to ‘52 Chevys at the GM Heritage Site, under the “information” heading ….. is that source of precious information gone?
I see a new face to the Heritage Site, with no way to get to the valuable info I seek.
Bob I just looked at it. About half way down is GM HERITAGE ARCHIVE. In the paragraph below it is the Vehicle Information Kits.
Thanks Keith, it seems i didn’t look down far enough.
I’m not very good with changes.
Bob happened to see your post on VCCA site. gosh we have not talked in quite a while. Time flies. Well for the first time in as long as I can remember I am "Corvair-less. Sold my '60 sedan back to owner in Michigan about three months ago.. I just don't have proper storage plus I just can't work on them any longer,no room to work.
Wife and I went to VCCA convention and both came home with a mild case of COVID. We are fine now. We then went to Corvair show in Maggie Valley NC and two weeks ago went to a small Corvair show in Daytona Beach, oddly about 5 miles from all that erosion going on there.
How have you been?I really think I will not be getting another old car, prices are out of site on just about anything.
Drop me a line, always good to hear from you. Take care. Ed
Keith, I tried, as you instructed, I was not able to get to the archives. I took a pic of the message I i received from GM Heritage, but don’t think I can post a pic here.
Ed, I either sent you an email or a text, during the time of the Bowling Green VCCA event, didn’t hear back from you.
I think it was email.
Doing Ok, one day at a time, still have my ‘51, almost 23 years now.

Anyone can post a picture. Use the Full Editor then the Attachment Manager. There are size limitations so if it's a large image you may need to size it down.
This is what you want to scroll down to.
About half way down is GM HERITAGE ARCHIVE. In the paragraph below it is the Vehicle Information Kits. Did you click on the GM HERITAGE ARCHIVE ?
Use this link and then select Chevrolet.
GM Heritage site
I get an error trying to open one of the info kits.
Bob I guess I didn't go far enough. I cannot get into the info kits either. Might have to download Adobe.
Using Firefox as a browser I have no problems opening any of them. Make sure your browser can open .pdf files.
I use Xfinity and I just updated my Adobe, still cannot open them.
I cannot either.
I’ve done the Heritage site for years, not working for me now.
Very strange. The Cadillac ones open, but get the error on the Chevy ones I try to open. Just tried opening random years. Some of them open others don't.
I cannot open anything on Chevy from Heritage site
I was able to open the Chevrolet Vehicle Information kits.
Dave
Heritage doesn’t like me 😞
I have been able to open some, but not the 1935, 1941,1948 or 1951 or 1961 car ones. 1939 opened. Not going to go threw all of them. Too many don't open.
I did send an email to them. Will see if I get a response.
Try the ones I said wouldn't open for me.
I opened 1941 and 1935 without any problems. You might be right that it hates you (or your computer).
It must be my computer or my wife has set the computer to discourage a possible buy of another car through Heritage research 😂
Probably a security setting on their computers.
It is happening to at least two of us.
I just got in. In the upper right hand corner. Click on the "Open in Desktop App". Some of them opened when clicking on the year list. See if that will work.
Thanks Keith, I will try your suggestion.
Looks like some of them open just by clicking on the year. If the Open in the App doesn't show they will open. When it shows, just click on it.
Well, made a little progress. Got to page 30 before it crashed!
I still cannot get 1951 info started.
For the 1951 information, try this link:
1951 information
The above link worked fine for me. Not sure if others have noticed but the first and every other page comes up blank so after following the link scrolling the screen will be required.

Most, if not all, the documents have this problem with missing every second page, guess it`s a problem from scanning/converting to PDF.
For the first day since I wrote my post/ thread, I am now able to view info on GM Heritage.
I have not done anything differently, but it’s there for me now.
Yes Keith, good news.
Now if I could only remember what I needed to look up 😂
