Hello folks, One week ago, I was bitten by the COE bug... I hope there is no cure. I thought I was fairly savvy on the internet but I can't find a website where I can buy a COE??? I keep ending up in pinterest which just shows me more candy. Do people ever sell their COE or do they just collect and hoard them... lol. I would greatly appreciate some web links to where I can start my COE hunt. I'm looking for a finish vehicle that I can use as a daily driver. Thanks so much, enjoy your rides!!! - York

Hi Dean, that is a nice coe, but I am looking for a website that has lots of coes for sale. When I type in vintage or classic coe for sale, I get sites with one or two for sale. When I go to pinterest there are thousands of pictures of beautifully restored coes. There must be hundreds of coes up for sale. I still can't find a good site. Cheers, York

Unless there is a specific club online for C O E, you will have to be content with whats listed on : EBAY , HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS, Auto trader and any other publication.

They are a very unique truck and finding them is not an easy chore, so get your typing/searching fingers limbered up and be prepared to look around on a continuous basis.

Thanks Mike, hey another canuck! They are a unique truck. And I am starting to understand how difficult it might be to find one, and then convince the owner to part with it... "from my cold dead hands" LOL

I guess when I saw thousands of awesome coe trucks, when I searched for images, I thought my job might be easier. I can't find a specific COE club on line which seems odd ???

The harder the search, the sweeter the find... I hope.

Do you own a coe? If you do, I love to see photos or come see it in person.

Cheers, York

York, no I do not own a COE, nor do I have the room for one. I think they are neat and many have been made into street rods as ramp carriers.

A guy named Chuck in Lebanon TENN has a 38--39, a real quality unrestored one he acquired a few years ago. I have a picture of it in my computer files.

I have been buying 34-35 standard running boards NOS from him couple of years ago and just purchased a NOS rear fender and mint used fender. So am headed to USA most likely Thursday to pick them up in NY state at a friends..

There was a thread on this site about them before the site was modified this year, guess its still there ?

30 years ago before the provincial government went nuts there was all kinds of small scrap yards full of trucks, and the government was flying around spotting these vehicles in storage scrap yards hidden from view. They went in based on environmental laws and destroyed everything !!!!!!!!!!! .

If these people are so concerned about oil and gas, lets take their car away and turn off the naturel gas supply to their house. HYPOCRITES

For many years I also had a COE.......it was a 1951 slideback with 179" wheelbase. When new it was a moving van, then converted to a lumber carrier with rollers and years later it was again converted to a slideback. I hauled lots of stuff on that truck when I owned it.

Note that York has not been on this site since September of 2018 so he may not see your post.
