I am attempting to remove the instrument cluster within the dashboard of my 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe. Does the exterior face panel remove separately from the cluster instrument panel? Does the cluster instrument panel remove separately from the dashboard? Thank you!

You need to remove the whole instrument cluster too remove the top chrome ring . Theres folding tabs holding it too the cluster that you would not be able yo get too without removing intire cluster
