I need to remove the drivers side wiper transmisson on my 1940 tudor. A couple fo questions.
[1] Does the defroster duck have to be removed to access it?
[2] Does the link get disconnected from the wiper motor or from the transmission?
Seems to be very difficult to get to any of these parts.
HELP

I can't speak for a '40 but my '38 should be similar. On mine the linkage arm disconnects from the transmission. There's a spring clip that you remove that releases the arm. I don't need to remove the defroster duct to access the transmission fastener. I found it much easier to remove the seat when working under the dash. Spring clip.

Amen on that. Removing the seat makes a huge difference unless you're 20 years old.

Tiny thanks for the reply. There seems to be a ball joint swivel at the transmission but I don't see anyway to unhook it. May be they have to unhookmat the wiper motor?
