I noticed that my flywheel is held on with 3/8-16 bolts, not 3/8-24 and there's no copper washer under the heads (thanks to Ray Holland for mentioning these washers in the 'School's in Session' series!).

I'm thinking of taking off one nut at a time, squeezing a drop of RTV under the bolt head, and then putting the nuts back on with Locktite and peaning the end of the bolt to keep the nuts on rather than replacing the bolts.

Your thoughts?

Thanks, Dean

I concur except for the peaning of the bolt ends. Some poor chap may wish to remove the flywheel sometime in the future.
