Does the Pitman arm require some type of puller to release it from the Pitman arm shaft?

I needed to use a wheel puller, some penetrating oil, and a small hammer to get mine ('30 Coupe) to come off initially (after maybe 70 years of being originally put on). Since then, it comes off a lot easier. Not that I have to remove it very often.
