Does anyone know if the Pontiac on eBay is the same body. Just curious. I don'tr see any difference in the body at all.

Yes, well NO I downloaded the Pontiac photo and I can blow both of the up, I think it is just paint. the belts look the same

Basic body shell looks the same
but fenders, hood, grill shell look different
i have a 36 Pontiac convert. aside from the basic body
you can see they didnt try too hard to make them different

They look the same to me. I have some old Hollander's, I'll see what I can find.
I'm looking at the space between the wheel rim and the wheel center stamping. Does the Pontiac have a smaller rim size?

The belt line is very different. Doors have a different part number. This was common on shared Fisher bodies.
The basic body was the same.The Chevrolet wheel base was 110" and the Pontiac 115". Extra length in the engine compartment/hood due to the longer straight eight engine.
Chevrolet had 5.25x18 tires, Pontiac 5.50X17.
Pontiac used te same transmissin and torque tube and differential but has a 4.40 gear ratio, Chevrolet a 4.11 POntiac was 2945 pounds and Chevrolet 2770. Pontiac cost $675 ans Chevrolet $515.
1933 was the first year for the Pontiac flat head straight eight and no six was offered.

Here is another shot looking at the back. I wouldn't say that the belt lines are very different but the Pontiac appears to have on more bead below the larger one. The rest of the car is obviously different and in my opinion the Chevy looks much better :-) It would make sense to use the same body but they did a lot of things that didn't make sense back then, like the std and master differences, it's a wounder they survived.


One more thing, I'm not sure if the bead around the rear window is the same. It's hard to tell with the paint scheme

The different paint lines on the top of the cowl threw me off. In looking at different pictures I see how the body line ran in that area.
Actually 1933 was a good year for the 1933 Pontiac and Chevrolet Master. The mid-year Standard sales were slow to take off. Thats why a large number of up-grades were made on the 1934 and 1935 Standards.
Old timers called the small 223 cubic inch Pontiac the "lazy eight" as it was a smooth but not too powerful eight cylinder engine. Even with the low geared rear end.
