I just checked my transmission case number and found it is from a 1946 truck ( part #590715). What are my chances of finding the correct transmission for my 1936 highcab that was (built in nov.of 1935)? I want this to be a show truck. Thank you. Tom

That's a difficult question to answer Tom...You might start by Posting down in the "Parts Wanted" Forum below...Good Luck

That is the correct transmission for a 1935-36 GMC 1/2 ton. I don't know if Chevrolet used the same transmission, however quite a few parts interchange between the GMC and Chevrolet for those years.
