The Long Island region, who brought you the 2016 Sagamore Hill show, is hosting a multi-day meet September 29/30 in Old Bethpage NY. We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary with a multi-day meet held at the Museum of American Armor on the grounds of historic Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The museum features armored vehicles and military memorabilia dating back to WW1. The museum will be open for viewing during the meet for a donation. We are centrally located just minutes off the Long Island Expressway (495), exit 48. Saturday will be a passport tour around picturesque Long Island stopping at local points of interest. Sunday will be our nationally judged show at the Armor Museum. Food will be available on site. Registration fee is $35.00 for the first vehicle and $25.00 for each additional vehicle. Show is pre-registration only and the dealine for show applications is September 1st. Please contact Chris Geiger at chevyrod1938@aol.com, call 631-757-5021 or text 631-988-4005 for registration and hotel information.
We are working on all the forms for the show and should have them available soon. We hope to offer PCC (personalized) judging too, so if you are a member of the chapter get in touch with me if you are interested in attending.

The applications for our September 30th show at the Museum of American Armor are now available. We will be offering PCC (personalized class) judging along with all other VCCA classes. We will also be sponsoring a passport tour on Saturday the 29th. Contact me for your application, I understand September 30th will be a sunny day in the mid 70's with absolutely no chance of rain.
Due to a large number show people booking rooms, we have added additional rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn to accommodate more participants. The rooms are list under the Louis family reunion.....like Louis Chevrolet.
Just a few more weeks till the Sept. 1st cut off for show registration. We are getting an excellent response and it should be very successful show. For those people worried about traffic going home, we will try to get the show wrapped up by 2 pm and get you back on your way home.

The Long island region had a very successful meet at the Museum of American Armor. I would like to thank all those people who brought their cars to the event and to members of the Long island Region, Queens region and the Southern New England region. We had cars coming from 3 different states to attend the meet. That may not sound that impressive but if you saw some of the roads they had to drive over to get to our Island paradise you would be more impressed. Events like this can only happen if people step up and help and the long Island region had over 70% membership participation. We are looking into a 2020 event and will keep you all informed.

Any pics? So many great cars.
There will be an article coming out in a future G+D with pictures and a write up about the show. We really appreciate all the VCCA members that attended and made it a great show. We plan one hosting out next regional show in 2020. Anyone interested in joining the Long Island Region can contact me at chevyrod1938@aol.com or call/text at 631-988-4005.
