Anyone from eastern long island going (driving or trailering)? Being an over protective parent of my 35, I have never driven her that far!

That is very smart way to travel in groups as many heads on any issues that might arise can resolve any problems! What are you looking at in and around 600 miles one way? I always drive with about 10 other cars for my long trips plus am a member of the NSRA and carry a membership book of members across the States with member’s phone #s to call if we have any problems along the way. Does this VCCA Club have some sort of those same features?

The NSRA ( National Street Rod Association)Fellow Pages is a great plus given to all it's members. It has the names and phone numbers of all participating clubs that send in their rosters for publication.

The VCCA should work on printing up a similar directory of all it's members to distribute to all paid members.

The VCCA previously published a new printed roster at least every 5 years. When the VCCA decided to eliminate the significant expense and offer a printed roster at cost to each requesting member there was not enough to break even on the printing cost. The member roster was available to all paid members on the vcca.org website. With the recent change of membership services and webmaster there is a search capability for members. If you are wanting to find a member you can search the database. With a smart phone, tablet or laptop you should be able to find members.

What was wrong with the nice compact roster we had until just recently. Was easy to find and very easy to use. Must have had hidden flaws that caused it to be trashed.

Very true but this is only a 30 mile drive he is referring to.

I did not clarify "VA" was not Virginia. It was St. Albins Veterans Administration in N.Y.
It's actually 45 miles and the potholes as we near Queens in N.Y. are not not 35 Chevy std. front end friendly.

After making the trip I would have to agree. Not many potholes just a lot of traffic on the way home. I drove my Cosworth just felt real small looking at the wheel center caps on the SUV's even with my forehead.
It was also rather warm in it on the drive home, not a 90 degree day car
